By industry standards, we are pioneers, we have been helping our
clients with their security concerns for over 30 years. Our technicians average 20 years
experience in the alarm industry and most have been with us since the
start. All Aressco technicians are factory trained by each the major alarm
manufactures. So no matter how old your system may be, if it is
repairable, rest assured we have the expertise to keep it functioning.
Our central monitoring center is located right here in
South Dade county, one of the last truly "local central" stations left in south
Florida. Aressco Services is approved and listed by
Underwriters Laboratories, our systems
must meet or exceed the stringiest standards in the
industry. We service and monitor our clients in Dade, Broward and
Monroe counties.
History
Our history is really the
history of two separate companies; Aressco, Inc. in Kendall, and Assured Security
Company of Homestead.
Aressco, Inc. was was
incorporated in 1979 by Don Richter, then 18, as a means of paying for his college
education. After college, the increasing need for security systems in south
Florida, would turn it into his career. Aressco grew to become a respected name in
the alarm industry in South Florida, with thousands of satisfied customers from Palm Beach,
south to the Keys.
Assured Security Company began operations in
Homestead, Florida in 1974.
In 1985, Matthew Forristall and his partner, Robert Houston, assumed control and grew Assured
into Homestead's premier Security and Fire alarm company.
Assured provided monitoring and service across the State of Florida, with its
concentration of customers residing in Dade and Monroe counties.
In 1992, following Hurricane Andrew, Assured, like most of Homestead, had to start
over. By 1995, with their reputation for
quality and personalized service, Assured had become the largest independent alarm company
in Homestead.
Throughout 1995, and 1996 the alarm
industry underwent a massive consolidation, a large percentage of the
smaller independent alarm companies were acquired by the larger
companies. It was during that time that both companies, like many other
local independent alarm companies, were acquired by Republic Industries.
In a little over one year, Republic sold off their alarm division, and
abandoned the industry to became what is now known as AutoNation USA.
 While Matt and Don enjoyed their early retirement, they really
missed the industry they had help pioneer. Because many of their customers were
also their friends, they constantly heard how bad things had become and the
complete chaos caused by the consolidation and reconsolidation. With allot
of encouragement from their old customers, employees and friends, the two
joined forces in Sept 1997 opening Aressco Services, Inc.
At the same time Bob Houston, Matt's former partner
and brother-in-law also opened a new company called
Solarbeam Security, Inc.
Solarbeam Security manufactures outdoor perimeter solar-powered and
completely wireless security detection devices.
